Spells per Day: A beastmaster continues their previous growth as a divine spellcaster. Thus, when a new beastmaster level is gained, the character gains new spells per day as if he had also gained a level in whatever divine spellcasting class he belonged to before he added the prestige class. He does not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained. If a character had more than one divine spellcasting class before he became a beastmaster, he must decide to which class he adds each level of beastmaster for purposes of determining spells per day.

Spell-Like Abilities: At levels 2, 4, 6, and 8, the beastmaster gains the spell-like abilities listed in the chart above, as cast by a 6th level druid. The beastmaster may only use Magic Fang on his animal companions.

Devoted Companions: This ability provides an exception to the 'animal' companions' rules on DMG page 46. Due to the unique relationship the beastmaster has with the wild kingdom, the beastmaster may keep twice his caster level in animal companions while travelling great distances. No one animal may have HD greater than the character's total level. This is an extraordinary ability.

Awaken Companion: At 3rd level, you awaken a single animal companion of up to 2 HD as per the Awaken spell, except that there is no XP cost to you and the required will save is automatically passed. Furthermore, you gain the ability to communicate with this companion as a free action, as if by a permanant Sending spell. If this animal companion dies, you must wait 1 year before awakening a new companion. This is a supernatural ability.

Eyes & Mind of Nature: At 5th level, the beastmaster gains the ability to communicate with any companion as a free action, as if by a permanent Sending spell. Also, the beastmaster may see through the eyes of one companion a round, as a full-round action. This is a supernatural ability.

Language of Nature: At 7th level, the beastmaster permanently gains the ability to Speak with Animals, as per the spell. This is a supernatural ability.

Army of Nature: At 9th level, a beastmaster can gather an army of wild animals to fight for him. They must come from a land that he knows, and it takes one week to gather them all. The total HD of animals gathered is 100 + (50 x charisma modifier). This army will follow simple commands issued by the beastmaster for up to one week after being gathered. No one animal may have greater than 12 HD. 1 in 10 animals is a pack leader than possesses the maximum HP for that creature. This is an extraordinary ability.

Ascendant Visage: At 10th level, the beastmaster may choose to permanently gain an animal-like physical feature. This physical feature provides no special abilities or bonuses.

One with Nature: At 10th level, the beastmaster may cast a spell with a target of "You" on his animal companions (as a touch range spell). This is a supernatural ability.
