Description:
The Hand of Sospitas is the quintessential healer; they are prized by armies the world around for their battle-turning abilities. They are almost always clerics, but on rare occasion other divine spellcasters pursue the class.

Spellcasting: Ability to cast 2nd-level divine spells.
Special: Must worship Sospitas.

Spells per Day: A Hand of Sospitas continues her previous growth as a divine spellcaster. Thus, when a new Hand of Sospitas level is gained, the character gains new spells per day as if she had also gained a level in whatever divine spellcasting class she belonged to before she added the prestige class. She does not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained. If a character had more than one divine spellcasting class before she became an Hand of Sospitas, she must decide to which class she adds each level of Hand of Sospitas for purposes of determining spells per day.

Perfected Healing: This ability reduces for certain spells the number of spell slots higher needed to utilize the Maximize Spell feat. The numbers within the chart represent the number of levels higher than the spell's actual level needed to memorize it as a maximized spell. This ability does not grant the user access to the spells listed below.

The target is stabilized and their hit points are restored to -1. The target of the spell must be unconscious and have less than 0 hit points. Undead cannot be the target of Stabilize Wounds. A character must have at least 2 levels as a Hand of Sospitas to have access to this spell.

The recipient of this spell has an uncanny grasp in the world of the living. The unconscious status for the subject is extended to -1 to -19 hit points. If the subject's hit points fall to -20 or below, they're dead. (See PHB p.171 for more info.) The target does not have to be unconscious to be the target of the spell. A character must have at least 4 levels as a Hand of Sospitas to have access to this spell.

Spell-like Abilities: At level 3, the character gains the spell-like ability listed in the chart above, as cast by a character of her combined levels as a cleric and Hand of Sospitas.

Aura of Stability: At level 5, the Hand of Sospitas radiates an invisible aura that bestows the effects of a Stabilize Wounds spell on anyone she chooses within 100 feet of her. This is a free action that requires no visible action of the Hand of Sospitas.
