And not a QotD! Go me! I’ve watched several movies here pretty recently, and so I thought I’d post about them with a few of my thoughts. These aren’t in any particular order. We’ve been actually watching our Netflix movies though! What a concept. We’re usually bad about having them sit around for a few weeks, possibly even a month or two.
P.S. I Love You is not necessarily a bad movie, but isnt’ quite what I wanted. For one thing, I don’t really like Hillary Swank all that much. She annoyed me through much of the movie. Actually her character annoyed me quite a bit too. I really like the idea of the movie, the premise behind the story. I just think it could have been carried out a bit better. I almost hate to say it, but I think perhaps it was a little too realistic. Or maybe Hillary Swank just didn’t pull it off.
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind was excellent! Why did I wait so long to see this movie, it’s exactly the kind of stuff I like. All weird and psychological. I guess I wasn’t really sure what it was about, so I just didn’t ever pick it up. I really enjoyed it though, it’s odd and quirky and you have to pay attention to keep up. This is the kind of movie that you can watch a second or third time, and still pick up something new. I’ve only seen it the once, but I believe we’re going to go ahead and buy a copy. It’s one that we both really like. The blurb for it on the Netflix sleeve didn’t really do it justice, it was much more than I thought it was going to be, and much better too.
My boyfriend and I also went to see Eagle Eye on Sunday. Since it was in the theater I don’t have an image to include (I’m too lazy to go find one of my own and add it, Amazon doesn’t have an image for it yet). It was a good movie. Some of it was very far fetched and kind of stretched that suspension of disbelief that I’m usually so good at maintaining through movies. (Okay, I’m not sure if that sentence actually makes sense.) The story was good though, so I can forgive the far fetched bits. It was action packed, plenty of explosions, some interesting deaths, overall a fun action flick.

I’m not sure I’d wipe out any of my memories. Memories are a large part of what makes a person who they are. They’re your own personal experiences, and good or bad I think I’d want to have that. If you don’t remember things, how can you learn from them?
I think I’d want to keep my memories, all of them.
Yeah, I think PS I Love You would’ve been better if it wasn’t Hilary Swank. I couldn’t pay attention to the movie or like her character only because her horse teeth was way too distracting. The story idea was cute, though.
I LOVED Eternal Sunshine. I can’t help but think if I could erase parts of my memory, would I?
Would you?
I watched Run Fatboy Run again last weekend and it was a bit disappointing the second time around… I do believe I liked Hot Fuzz better.
